One of the hardest goodbyes that Sawyer had to make was with Reeses. They've been best friends since Sawyer was 13 years old, and Reeses was 6 weeks old. They went on their last walk the day before he left. The morning we were leaving, Sawyer finally broke down and said he couldn't even look at her. Reeses knew something wasn't right. Our carefree, spazzy, out of control dog was so subdued, and wouldn't take her eyes off him. It broke our hearts and got us all crying.
